Margaret Cruikshank has been at the forefront of Aging Studies for decades, and is author of Learning to Be Old: Gender, Culture, and Aging, now in its third edition.  Her first book, The Lesbian Path, brought together personal narratives by women living “out” lives, about their families and communities. Cruikshank brings her keen feminist perspective to the topic of aging studies, and provides a familiar and inclusive overview of topics relating to this population in the 21st century.
